October is by far my favorite month of the year. I'm so grateful to have such an exciting schedule this year, and pleased to let you know that you'll be able to find The Crystal Mind at Catland Books in Bushwick, Brooklyn this coming Saturday the 15th from 1-6pm debuting new gems and jewelry to share with all of my fellow crystal lovers
987 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, New York 11206
I've recently found some absolutely stunning high flash labradorite. All of the specimens are polished on one side while left raw on the other. I love this balance of shine and natural appeal.
If you've got plans this weekend but still want to get your hands on some new gems, head on over to Sleepy Hollow the weekend following Sunday 10/23 at the Hampton Inn White Plains/Tarrytown
200 W Main St, Elmsford, New York 10523
I'll be there on Sunday from 10-5!
I've been so grateful to be vending in Bushwick monthly at Catland Books! I've been blessed to meet so many powerful like-minded individuals who are coming there to gather tools to further their own spiritual journeys. I was exceptionally blissful to find out that the market was featured in Nylon Magazine! Check out the link to read more about the market and the small blurb that was written about The Crystal Mind! Making a difference here in the city, one stone at a time!
People often times give too much merit to the stones metaphysical meaning as written in a book by another author. The real miracle of working with stones is when you really get sucked into their worlds. Tonight, this mineral combination brought me so many revelations as I was searching for hours trying to find an accurate ID for the worlds of depth that it contained.
The amount of intense focus that I devoted to this search brought me to the mine it was found in and a few candidates of possible inclusions to this massively awesome zeolite. After finding out this information I felt such a joy within my heart. I was literally jumping up and down after figuring something that truly resonated.
It’s amazing when you can really recognize the benefit minerals have on you, whether it is intellectual or emotional- it is all about the personal process. It’s about how you choose to interact with the stones around you.If you see a stone on the ground you like, and it comforts you to pocket it and rub it when you’re about your day- do that. If you want to spend countless hours researching what minerals grow in that area and how they interact with each other, do that.If you just think it is beautiful and takes you away from your personal struggle or story for even one moment, enjoy that!
For me, working with stones has been the only way of life I have known since November of 2007. It’s been such a literal rock for me to lean on in all aspects of my life. My career, my passion, my art, my excitement, and my pleasure all lean into each other as intricate as this zeolite- coming together to create something beautiful in my mind.A peace I’ve never known that expresses itself more and more as I delve further into this world of minerals.
Dissolve all that separates us universally, recognizing yourself in all things and helping others to help themselves. Where things just keep getting better- how to transmute all experiences into beneficial energy for you through the art of intention.
What is intention?
The object of motivation towards doing something. You get up from the couch with the intention to retrieve a beverage from the fridge. Bet you think of twelve things on the way to the fridge= what if instead of those melodramas you're analyzing if you thought things "on purpose" with intention to create your own reality. IE: "I'm so grateful to have the beverage I desire." "This water is cleansing my body as I take in every sip." "I'm so grateful to exercise my free will." By bringing intention to the mundane things in your life you are able to transform your entire life into an alchemists lab.
A good friend once said to me "If you believe it, it's true." The statement has stuck with me through my life to better understand the idea that only YOU have the power to monitor your own perspective. The power of your thoughts is enormous! How many times has something someone else told you sent you spiraling down a path of negative thoughts or observations about yourselves, others, or a situation? How many times have you then become upset about it and everything else that occurs to you in that day? Or, the opposite might occur! You receive a bit of good news- someone you care for tells you that they love you for the first time. You might get a promotion, a good grade on an assignment, or a miracle occurs. A snowball effect for the positive occurs there as well! You smile and have enough optimism and enthusiasm to share with others- you are blessed with enough energy to do the things you've put off for weeks and suddenly things start falling into place.
What I'm saying is- What you focus on EXPANDS- so let's focus on the things that we love in our life. What we want/what would bring others joy- how to bring the most positive perspective to all situations. It's not that all of the challenging experiences cease to occur, we just navigate to find a more efficient way to observe them.
Judgement- a term we're all familiar with - seems to lay in duality (positive, negative, black, white) When we observe that we have the power to observe ourselves making these judgements we can liberate ourselves through choosing only to judge our own intentions and not judge others paths. Honoring our own decisions and not needing to condemn others for theirs. Love is all that is real. What permeates time, space, and memory- what we feel full of and absent of that motivates us to do anything in life. It is the most abundant and sought after free commodity in existence. Love starts with Love- back to understanding of intentions; when we focus on love for the small things, all large respond accordingly. If there is an unresolved issue in your life, rather than play it over on repeat 30 times in your head, opt to send it love and watch it transform. Bless.

Every November rolls around and the plastic Santas come out of hiding. The streets are lined with Red and Green and you can smell the anticipation towards the holiday season in the air. We all know and feel the cycle of the holiday season approaching like a freight train, and if you're anything like me, you've spent a large portion of your adult life filled with dread at the approaching season. I'm a festive woman, I enjoy celebration and spirituality. I just have a huge issue with consumerism and identification with things and festivities I don't believe in.
I love to support causes I believe in and can stand behind, but I have a challenging time lining up to spend all of my money on items that are going to cost to be wrapped under a tree and torn apart and hope that the recipient views them as an offering of love and not money. I have been thinking about Christmas over the last fews years, and as someone who doesn't personally identify with Christianity, I feel sacrilegious celebrating a holiday that cannot resonate with my intentions. Exploring many forms of spirituality I have come to ask myself how can I find something worldwide that can tie together my heritage and upbringing with my own spiritual beliefs? How can I tie the strings of the holidays together to bring meaning and depth into my own practice and share this meaning with my family?
I like to turn to older forms of religion to understand the origins of other holidays to gain more perspective of the original intentions of celebrating at this time of the year. I find myself fundamentally pagan and am always looking for a way to bring my celebration back to nature. The Pagans celebrate something called the Winter Solstice. I can understand rationally and scientifically that this holiday is celebrated because of the transition of the length of day becoming longer once more. Solstice is the shortest day of the year and has the longest night. We can count on this because we rely on the understanding of our planet's rotation around the Sun. In Christianity we are celebrating the "return of light" by honoring the Son (Sun) being born into the world of darkness. In Hanukkah we are also using the menorah to celebrate the miracle of light shining upon the darkness.
If these holidays are placed on top of each other for rational consideration, it seems to me that the one message that remains the same is the celebration of light overcoming darkness. This is a theme that I can jump on board with. If we can celebrate or honor something in life, I think that light prevailing is a profound sentiment and one that can bridge the gap in all religious celebration and in my own spiritual understanding. I like to use traditional colors from the christmas season to keep the energy of the holiday spirit while tying in my intentions with my own spiritual practices. I remind myself that we use the color green in alignment with the heart chakra, evergreen leaves that do not falter in the depths of winter, which bring us strength to get through the winter months.
I decorate with white candles to be symbolic of the light moving into the darkness, and our own inherent connection with spirit.Red is traditionally used in Christmas decorations to connect us to the energy of vitality, blood, circulation, and passion. By utilizing this color in our decorations we are invoking strength, movement, and warming our hearts by reminding ourselves of the things we were passionate about in the year that has brought us to this season. We can use these colors in our decorations without throwing in any nativity scenes or Santa ornaments. (We can add those too if they bring our hearts joy!)
This holiday season, see what sort of creations you can come up with that help connect you to the joy inside of your heart and give you inspiration through the darker portion of the year. I invite you to express yourself fully in the season of giving by giving yourself power to elaborate on your vision of what the holidays mean to you. We are entitled to creating our own traditions and maintaining the amount of joy and love in our life's expression. Sending many blessings to you and yours over this winter season, may your days be merry, May your nights be warm and your heart still and at peace.

Lately I’ve been contemplating our current day and how we’re moving towards the embracement of utilizing crystals in modern day technology.I really feel that this time and age parallels to Atlantean times and their use of crystals. A brief background of Atlantean lore, It is said that Atlantis was one of the most technologically advanced civilizations of any time- they used crystals for virtually everything in their society. Crystals brought them hot and cold running water, weapons, advanced machinery, and also were used for many different types of healing and technological advancements.Do you have any idea how important crystals are in our society? Do you have any idea how common they are in your day to day life? How many times you use a device or tool in a day that is entirely reliant on a gemstone to run it?Do you understand that the monitor you're reading this from is probably composed of crystals? The advanced tools they are using in the operating room are made possible by highly vibrational stones like sapphire and ruby?Did you know that the new "indestructible" Iphone screen is made of sapphire? The way our bodies form, crystalline, let's take a microscopic look at the way the molecules of life bond together. Here we are, harnessing the ability to create more powerful tools than ever- advancing so much technologically, more than ever recorded before, and as we evolve our tools and potential as a society- like Atlantis, the one thing we aren't advancing, is our own minds. It's time for a reboot, it's time for a restructure, and a check in with ourselves and communities- How can we use these important technological tools to advance our own spirits? Our own hearts? Our own abilities? If the stones are composed of different minerals and these minerals mirror the same ones that we contain in our body and in the vitamins that we take, they seem like a potent source of nutrients emotionally and physically for the human race. If we're smart enough to recognize a pattern before it takes place, do we have to dance with that pattern in the future if we don't want to?I don't want to watch another civilization erupt out of greed, power, and lack of awareness. What can we do to change this current? How can we alter the stream of our mutual perception to benefit the planet and all that walk upon it?

This New Moon time would be especially beneficial for you to work with your stones in programming them with your desired intentions, aligning their healing properties with your healing intentions. If you were trying to work on your meditation practice, this would be a good time to program an amethyst with that intention!
A simple method to program stones:Cleanse your stone you're using before programming, a safe method for most stones is cleansing with white sage. Burn the sage and let the smoke envelop the crystal all around. Let the sage smoke swirl around your stone for a few minutes, and when you feel that the stone is ready, move forward!Hold the stone in your dominant hand. Whatever your vision is you'd like to manifest, spend some time visiting that space in your mind. If you're looking to find a new job, imagine what that job would make you feel like if you had it. Envision the joy of your loved one's celebrating your success with you. Send the vision of the vision manifested into the stone with gratitude.Imagine the feeling of succeeding in your body, and envision that energy flowing through your body into your hand and then into the stone.
After doing this, take a few deep breaths and hold the energy of gratitude in your heart. Thank the crystal for it's energy, Thank the Universe for the vision. If you're like me, and you like to see your results, make sure to write down your intentions in a journal- You'll be amazed at the response from the Universe in your endeavors! Many Crystalline Blessings to you! If you'd like a personal consultation or more direction in working successfully with crystal in your life, connect with me via email:
